This cottage sleeps 5 and has modern island finishes, hardwood floors, hardwood vaulted ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, linens, washer, TV, internet service, air conditioning, and a large shared swimming pool with loungers. You will have access to our private dock and beach area with chaise loungers and a large palapa, sea access for swimming, just a 2 minute walk to the ocean down a short sandy path. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom is a loft with 2 twin beds. The living room has a comfy queen futon. Air Conditioning and washing machine.
This property has 2 other small cottages within a gated property.

Welcome to the quaint tropical island of Caye Caulker where summer never ends...the island is 3 blocks wide and 2 miles long, never far from the ocean. Location: The Belize Barrier Reef: It is the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world.
There are no cars on this small paradise island, bicycles are the preferred method of travel, otherwise golf cart taxis are readily available. We rent bicycles, we have children's bikes, & child carriers, cribs, and highchairs too. We rent golf carts based on availability (suggest reserving in advance) We have sea kayaks, and canoes are free for your use as well. Be adventurous and explore!
Kick back and enjoy your stay at this beautiful new home located on a quiet street, just a quick bike ride into town. Take a plunge in the pool or stroll down to the ocean under the palm trees. Make sure to bring or rent snorkeling gear, an experience of a life time. World class fishing, diving and snorkeling are available through the many guides on the island.
There are local grocery stores on the island as well as incredible Caribbean Restaurants.
The area is surrounded by lush palms and abundant tropical foliage.
Visit the popular 'Split' for a refreshing beverage and a swim in the sandy bay, listen to local music, take a boat ride, or just lie in the sun on a dozy afternoon.

  The house was as pictured and described. Clean. No issues. Staff there is very helpful with any needs or questions you have. Just ask, and they will book it for you! There are several other Velento properties there, and all are well maintained. Can't go wrong with any of them. They were VERY helpful well before the trip as well to make our arrival easy. Taxi was waiting for us, and golf cart was waiting at the house. ZERO complaints, and ready to go back! I would suggest a golf cart rental from this location. It's walkable and bikeable, but the Golf Cart was great!

  We stayed a little over a week at the Hidden Gem property. Family of four, daughters 13 &20. It was cozy but ample and the porch and pool gave just the space to spread out. We rented a golf cart, I recommend that but maybe not for the whole stay. The location is away from the action but in the best of ways and close to the Valento experience and southern tip (worth the adventuring) for a early jog. The staff helped book an unforgettable snorkel trip on a private skiff. Don't miss the st The Little Kitchen for a sunset dinner.

  We were happy to be able to just walk from the little airport to H.Gem. It was clean and comfortable. The bed and shower are very nice. The staff were all super nice and helpful.   This little cabana truly is a hidden gem. We traveled with our young adult kids, and everyone was comfortable and content. The mini-split air conditioners kept the entire place cool, even when set to around 74 or 76 F. The kitchen was more than adequate for meal prep. We would stay again!

  First, I want to give a huge shout out to Don, Nazle, Chris and Celvin. They made everything so easy for us. This was a mother and 2 adult daughters vacation. The Hidden Gem was perfect for us. Great location. There are also other larger 5 star condos owned and managed by Velento properties. We used bikes to get all over the island. I am usually a planner but on this island everything seems to fall into place. We did go snorkeling with Caveman Tours. Highly recommended. We met Chris one day in Belize City. He took us cave tubing and tour of Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. Also great. Other times, we ate, drank, snorkeled, swam and did it again the next day. The local people are so friendly and happy to have tourists. We went to a different restaurant, bar, store everyday to support everyone. If you are looking for a laid back, relaxing vacation, this is the island for you. I recommend the Pelican Sunset Bar, Blue Zen on the north side, Lazy Lizard, Errolyns Fry Jacks, Steve’s Grill, Iguana Inn, Hibiscus, Casa de Paso. All are reasonably priced. The Street food is also excellent. Sand flies can be a problem but Off spray takes car of that nuisance. Looking forward to our next vacation back on Caye Caulker.
